The aim of this project is to construct a local clinic near few rural villages in the Eastern commune of Kiolsa. None of these villages is within an hour’s walk from the nearest clinic. During the rainy season the lack of sealed roads makes an already difficult journey even harder, especially for the ill, elderly and the infirm. As a result, the people in these communities have extremely limited access to medical care.

The sole function of the health center is to serve the entire population of the immediate community and will be carrying a variety of services such as: immunizations, pre-natal consultations, births, care for the sick, and provide education on issues such as Malaria prevention, HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention, family planning, nutrition, and practicing good hygiene.

The clinic prototype will be based upon the model commonly accepted by what the local community is in need for and serves. The clinic will be comprised of four fundamental branches of service: a medical office, a blood lab, an imaging center as well as a local pharmacy/medication dispensary.

The project proposal asks for the funds necessary to construct the clinic and to purchase the first year’s supply of medicine. The construction will be completed by local contractors and village labor, and the medical supplies will be maintained by the local clinician after the initial donation. The donation of medical imaging equipment is in great demand to be able to provide an adequate level of service.

The need for a charitable donation of medical equipment is needed to help the clinic be equipped with the diagnosis tools. We are pledging donations from Healthcare firms in the form of funds or used equipment that we can repurpose at our facility.
